How to install custom modpacks

Our servers come with a handy one-click installer, however, if the modpack you are looking for is not included, you can manually install it on your server by following the steps listed below.

Note: given that most modpacks contain large files, we suggest you use an FTP client like FileZilla to upload all your files. If you are not sure about your FTP login details, open Multicraft, click on Files and check FTP File Access.

FTB Modpacks

  • Download the modpack you wish to play with
  • Unzip all files into a temporary directory
  • Make sure you run FTBInstall.bat (or FTBInstall.sh if you are using a Unix system)
  • Rename FTBServer...jar to custom8.jar
  • Create a new directory called "jar"
  • Move┬áthe following files into the jar directory: custom8.jar, minecraft_server...jar, libraries
  • Open FileZilla and connect to your FTP account
  • Upload all files to the root (main) directory
  • Log into Multicraft and select "Custom (Java 8)" from the modpack dropdown menu
  • Save changes and start your server
